As a Tax Associate Lawyer, you will provide legal advice on a variety of tax transactions and business matters. This includes advising private and corporate clients on tax issues, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and representing clients in disputes and litigation.
Tax Associate Lawyer
- Provide comprehensive tax advisory services to clients, including corporations, partnerships, and individuals;
- Advise clients of local tax implications of various business transactions and financial decisions;
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, contracts, and agreements;
- Represent clients in tax audits, administrative proceedings, and litigation;
- Prepare and review complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, including assisting clients in maintaining tax compliance, including filing deadlines and required documentation;
- Drawing from multidisciplinary capabilities to help reduce risk and optimize value for the client throughout the deal life cycle.
- Qualified lawyer in Portugal with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience;
- Experience in international taxation, real estate projects, restructuring and corporate M&A;
- English and Portuguese proficiency.
